Mr.Roboto571985
Does anyone here like the medley of styx songs that the current lineup used to do? Personally, I think it is a cheap way to play the deep cuts of songs they've chosen to not focus on but do enough of, however heartless and weak, them to try and keep those fans on the fence about staying a fan of the group calling themselves Styx or support Dennis DeYoung fully. For me it didn't work, I decided to not support the Tommy and JY Huge Ego Show and chose to show my support for the real Styx, while Dennis and his band may not carry the name, the name isn't all that matters, it's who has the spirit of the band. Dennis by far has that. At least August Zadra gives Tommy's Styx songs some justice, unlike how Gowan butchers Dennis' songs. So what do you think about the medley? Jasedontlie
I don't know that I've ever heard it all the way through....is there a youtube link to it?
Mr.Roboto571985
Here is the CYO Medley and here is the Borrowed Time Medley. Note the poor, heartless performance of roboto early in the medley.
Ron
Note the poor, heartless performance of roboto early in the medley. In the few videos I have watched of this band perform "poor heartless" describes their sound frequently.
Jasedontlie
Interesting, I would rather hear the full songs myself, and not in these Medleys. Just not what I like. Thanks for sharing the videos, though!
