Ron
On Tuesday, March 25, starting around 9:00 Eastern, I will be on XM Satellite Radio's 80's channel (Channel 8) on a feature they call "80's Personal Play List". You send in a list of 15-17 songs that are important to you from the 80's, then they play them while you get to talk about 80's things during the song breaks. If you do not have XM and for some reason you would want to hear me, you can go to http://listen.xmradio.com and sign up for a free trial to listen online. I think AOL Radio also features the XM channel, and you can listen for free, but I'm not sure on that.

Might I expect a STYX song or 2 on that list??? Don't answer that :-? I would rather be surprised. Thanks for the heads up and looking forward to it. Ron
In my haste to point out the time zone, I forgot to mention: Tuesday 9:00am Eastern Daylight Time
markir
In my haste to point out the time zone, I forgot to mention: Tuesday 9:00am Eastern Daylight Time I am so glad that you cleared that up Ron. I would of hated to have missed it. 9am is even better for me as I am on vacation and will be able to listen and record it on my XM Radio. Ron
For those of you that missed the show, (and haven't downloaded it yet from this website) here is a list of what they played. The order might be different than they were tracked, but I sent a list of 17 songs in and they chose what they wanted to play and the order. 99 Red Balloons - Nena I wanted the all-English version, as that was what the station I listened to in the 80's played. They played a "mix" version of both languages that I don't care for. Glory Of Love - Peter Cetera Here's Johnny - El DeBarge Wasn't Short Circuit a great movie? King For A Day - Thompson Twins Thompson Twins, Howard Jones, Information Society; all groups that scream "80's" Sausalito Summernight - Diesel Summertime Girls - Y&T Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedwagon The video represented to me what true love really is. Land Of Confusion - Genesis Sure "Invisible Touch" was a more popular song from that album, but what about the Ronald Reagan puppet from the video? Although I should have picked "Everything She Does" to honor the late great Benny Hill. Live To Tell - Madonna I really cannot stand Madonna, but I do like her "True Blue" album. Cover Girl - New Kids On The Block Make fun of me all you want for this one, I LIKE IT. A lot better than their more popular crap (Oh Oh, Oh-Oh-Oh: The Right Stuff. Yeeeecccchhhh!) Heaven Is A Place On Earth - Belinda Carlisle Desert Moon - Dennis DeYoung They allowed me to plug the website and fundraising contest. Unfortunately, it did not result in any additional contributions. There were five songs I sent in that were not played: She's A Beauty - Tubes Friends - Michael W. Smith It would show up quite frequently on my hometown radio station's "Request Hour"; years before he hit the pop chart with "Place In This World" Apache - SugarHill Gang One of the few rap songs I really like. Unfortunately, the only 80's rap that most stations will play is "White Lines" (which is also a good song, but overplayed) Don't Shed A Tear - Paul Carrack Lost In Your Eyes - Debbie Gibson Yes, I liked Deborah, too. I thought she was cute. This song is much better than the overplayed "Shake Your Love"
