There are two big features added to the new site upgrade (plus a lot of smaller ones as well).

The first one is a way to directly connect the site with your Facebook profile. Then you can access the site right from Facebook. There are still a few minor issues when doing this (mainly since Facebook doesn't use the entire screen width, and then reduces it even more for the ads on the right side) but everything works.

The second one is an iPhone app to access the site (along with any other site that you may be a member of that uses Invision Power Board software). Visit http://itunes.apple....d372597645?mt=8 for the app. I am not sure how it works or too many details, since I do not have an iPhone. I am told that an Android version of the app is currently in development.


A lot of the other content that was on the site (lyrics, etc.) has been temporarily removed, as they will be integrated in with the message board software to create a complete, uniform product. I am working on this and will make this content available as soon as possible.

Also, due to this change, I have changed the URL for the board. It is no longer at ddytalk.com/forums. It is accessed directly at ddytalk.com. Please change your bookmarks/favorites. You should also delete all site cookies if you have trouble logging in.

The site contact form http://www.ddytalk.com/contact/ is still active in case you have any problems.

Sadly Chuck Lafrano, Dennis' brother-in-law and best friend passed away this past Sunday. Here is a link from the Chicago Tribune about Chuck's passing. RIP.

Chuck was married to Suzanne DeYoung's sister Pam, and was Dennis' good friend for over 40 years. He wrote the words to Unfinished Song, and also Winner Take All and The Serpent Is Rising. He also wrote an autobiography "In Spite of it All" detailing his service in the United States Marine Corps, and the difficulty for Vietnam Veterans to assimilate with the rest of America once they came back home. He was an organizer of the 1986 "Welcome Home Parade" for Veterans in Chicago--the largest event of its kind, and was Chairman of the 25th Anniversary Parade June 17-19, 2011.

Chuck was a daily visitor here at DDY Talk. He enjoyed reading the thoughts and comments of those that contributed, and was thankful for the support that is given to his good friend. Chuck was very proud of Unfinished Song and would get excited whenever someone would mention it. He was amazed that something he wrote so long ago still had relevance today.
